Adobe Illustrator – Beginner Course – Inclusive Laser Cutting

In order to use laser cutters, 3D printers, or other machines to execute your projects at MotionLab.Berlin, you must be able to use certain programs used to digitize them.
For instance, with Illustrator you can create 2D graphics and import them into other programs that generate a code of instructions for the laser cutter.
Laser 2 mm up, 4 mm down – done is your burned-in logo.

Goals/Skills
You do not need any experience with graphic software. We will use English in program settings. For two hours, we will introduce you to important tools that you will use to create at least two graphics during our session. We will also use one of the graphics with the laser cutter.

Method
In order to learn as much as possible, you will learn by doing. We will guide you through the different tools and then you will start making your own shapes and other graphics. I will be there to assist at all times. You must have Illustrator preinstalled on your computer. We will include detailed instructions on how to use the 7-day free trial offered by Adobe.
